In the pharmaceutical industry, Trimethylsilylacetylene is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of various active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). It is particularly useful in the synthesis of some anti-cancer drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, and some analgesics.
