PIROX IM INJECTION exerts its anti-inflammatory actions by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase-1, thereby, blocking the release of prostaglandins (a substance produced during injury and inflammation that causes pain and swelling) and other chemical mediators that cause pain and swelling. Your doctor may advise you to take relevant tests before recommending this medicine.
PIROX IM INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with liver, kidney, or heart problems. PIROX IM INJECTION is not recommended for use by a pregnant or breastfeeding woman. It should be used with caution in children aged 12 years and older. The most common side effects by receiving this medicine are nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, and stomach pain. Contact your doctor if your symptom does not improve.
