Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose + Borax + Boric Acid + Sodium Chloride + Potassium Chloride is a combination of five medicines. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning, also moisten the eyes. Borax has an antiseptic and antifungal (act against fungi) property, thus works as a preservative when added to Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose + Borax + Boric Acid + Sodium Chloride + Potassium Chloride. Boric Acid has antibiotic properties that kill infection-causing microorganisms. It also relieves eye irritation. Sodium Chloride and Potassium Chloride are minerals and they provide nutrition.
