AMIKACIN will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as irritation at the site of application, skin rash, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking AMIKACIN. Your doctor may advise you to get urine, blood, and hearing tests before and during the treatment to check for signs of side-effects. Depending upon the results of these tests your doctor may adjust the dose of AMIKACIN. You are advised to be well hydrated before and during the treatment with AMIKACIN.
