Carteolol<\/a> is used alone or with other medications<\/a> to treat high pressure inside the eye<\/a> due to glaucoma<\/a> (open-angle type) or other eye<\/a> diseases (such as ocular hypertension<\/a>). Lowering high pressure inside the eye<\/a> helps to prevent blindness. Carteolol is a beta blocker<\/a>. It is thought to work by reducing the amount of fluid made in the eye.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Use this medication<\/a> in the affected eye<\/a>(s) as directed by your doctor, usually 1 drop twice daily. Use in the eye<\/a> only. Do not swallow or inject.<\/p>\n

Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Follow your doctor’s directions on how to use this medication.<\/p>\n
